Founded in 1984, Gruet Winery specializes in Méthode Champenoise sparkling wines. Family-driven, the winery located in New Mexico produces pinot noir and chardonnay-based sparkling wines with roots originating from Gilbert Gruet’s Champagne house in Bethon, France. Laurent Gruet, son of Gilbert, continues these winemaking traditions as head winemaker of Gruet Winery, producing award-winning sparkling wines in New Mexico and since his inaugural vintage in 1989.
